A thing that used to be very uniform but over the years it has been changing. A couple years ago there would be no question that the woman would take the mans last name. Now you start to see it more and more that either the man gets the woman’s last name or that they take both last names and combine them. I don’t think there’s a definite answer to this question. I believe it is very situational and all depends on the couple. If the woman wants to take the last name, as it’s traditionally done, then that’s great, but if the woman doesn’t want to give her name up then there would be a conversation to be had. So in review I believe that all relationships are different and it is really just up to them to do what they want.
